Suman's Choice:
Since this is my first post ever I need to make is AMAZING! Its 2015 but sometimes I feel like we live in 1970. There's still world hunger, human trafficking, still hatred for other Americans. I am apart of this huge phenomenon. Instead of spending $5.50 on a Grande white chocolate Mocha with Hazelnut (you now know my order) a child in Africa can literally eat 3 meals. I really think we are all blinded. Knowing me I'm sheltered from the world and when I see poverty I get scared and feeling bad but do I do anything? No. Should I? Yes. I think that everyone can make a huge impact!
I recently watched a documentary on Netflix about these four college students who went to South America and lived off a dollar a day! Living off a dollar a day for an average American (even those in poverty) is a joke. We need to venture out and understand how these people live and how they don't have the same opportunities we do.
The point of this blog post was to show my thoughts about 2015 and how we live. Was it funny? No. Will the next one be? Maybe. Till Next time!
